How do I find my UT class building?
Find the building code and room on your class schedule, then type them into the campus map. Before your first class, check which entrance to use and where the room is, not just the street address.
Or open UT’s official map ↗
In this guide
What are you trying to find?
Start with the building code and room for your class or appointment. A street address gets you to the building, not necessarily the right entrance or floor.
What do you need to find?
How do I use a building code and room number?
GDC 2.216 means building GDC, floor 2, room 216.
- Copy the code and room from your class or appointment.
- Use UT’s building information for its full name and address.
- Confirm an uncertain room with the syllabus or destination office.
How do I check an accessible entrance and route?
A nearby address pin doesn’t confirm a usable path to the room.
- Read UT’s accessibility and map information.
- Check the approach, entrance, elevator and room.
- Ask the destination office about an uncertain part or current disruption.
Where can I park for my visit?
The exact facility and day determine the parking rules.
- Choose the facility, day and arrival time.
- Check visitor, permit and event rules with PTS.
- Plan the trip from the garage to your entrance.
How do I compare the trip from an apartment?
Connect the residence’s departure door with your assigned class entrance.
- Open the property profile and check its address.
- Confirm both doors and the route between them.
- Try the complete trip at a time that matches your week.
Where is my Testing Services appointment?
Use your appointment instructions as well as the office address.
- Check whether the appointment is at SZB or another testing site.
- Testing Services lists 1912 Speedway, suite 5.102 for its office.
- Confirm the appointment room and access instructions before arriving.
Which map should I use?
Use UT’s map for university buildings and the housing map for an apartment shortlist. UT’s wayfinding page also links parking, access and construction information.
Scroll the table to compare every column.
| Question | Use | Check next |
|---|---|---|
| Where is my class? | UT campus map | The assigned room and entrance |
| Which entrance can I use? | UT’s accessibility information | The route and current elevator conditions |
| Where can I park? | UT Parking and Transportation | Permit, hours and event rules |
| Which apartment is this? | Housing directory and map | Its actual address and lease |
What does the building code leave out?
Testing Services lists SZB at 1912 Speedway, suite 5.102. One Stop lists MAI 1 at 110 Inner Campus Drive. Those are different destinations, even though both are UT offices.
Scroll the table to compare every column.
| Code | Building and address | Office |
|---|---|---|
| SZB | George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway | Testing Services, suite 5.102 |
| MAI | UT Tower, 110 Inner Campus Drive | One Stop, MAI 1 on the ground floor |
How do I check the entrance and elevator?
Use UT’s accessibility and construction information, then ask the destination office about any uncertain part of the trip. A nearby entrance may not connect to the room you need.
Check close to the visit. A saved map doesn’t tell you whether an elevator or path is open today.
How do I test the walk from my apartment?
Start at the door you’ll leave from and end at your class entrance. Include lifts, crossings and the trip inside campus.
Try the journey at your first-class time and after your latest class if both matter. Time that route instead of relying on a general “minutes to UT” advertisement.
Does a nearby garage mean I can park there?
No. Check the exact garage’s permit or visitor rules, hours and event changes. Save a backup route before a time-sensitive appointment.
Questions
Where is the official UT map?
UT’s wayfinding page links it alongside building, parking, access and construction information.
Does the address tell me my classroom?
No. You still need the assigned room, floor and appropriate entrance.
Is SZB the same as One Stop at the Tower?
No. Testing Services lists SZB, 1912 Speedway, suite 5.102. One Stop is MAI 1 at 110 Inner Campus Drive.

How we got this
UT’s wayfinding page and the Testing Services and One Stop addresses were checked October 27, 2026. The two offices are examples, not classroom assignments.
This guide hasn’t tested today’s map controls or certified an accessible route, entrance or elevator. Use the destination office and current university notices for a part of the journey you need to confirm.
